The European Alliance for Innovation (EAI), the largest European professional society in Information sciences and engineering, is searching for a Conference & Venue Manager to participate in the organization and execution of conferences and venues.

Specific Job responsibilities include:

• Coordinating and following the conference organization process with research and academic communities
• Selecting venue locations based on analyzing costs and benefits from operational and attractiveness perspectives;
• Negotiating venues and following event venue contract execution;
• Preparing and updating the event’s budget;
• Monitoring venue deadlines avoiding cancellation or changes penalties;
• Coordinating registration and accommodation booking and on-site materials
• Coordinating conference promotional activities
• Following up with conference communities in developing new conferences around the world

This position is suited to a self-motivated, professional person who can confidently work with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.
Diplomacy, tact and a sense of humor are important.

• Excellent English and ability to write business correspondence
• Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations;
• Good knowledge of standard software packages, including Word for Windows and Excel are a must.
• Experience with Adobe Creative suite, Wordpress, and Social Media tools are a plus;
• To perform this job successfully, we are looking for promising individuals with talent and interest in being proactive, work independent, efficient in multi-tasking duties and good at following timelines.
  An advantage is the ability to build relationships with the research communities as a basis for successful conference execution through collaboration;
