Náplň práce

The European Alliance for Innovation (EAI), the largest European professional society in Information sciences and engineering, is searching for a Jr Conference Manager to participate in the organization and execution of conferences.
The job offers international experience in over a hundred countries.
Work is in English and may include international travel.
Experience in scientific or academic based conferences as organizer or participant is a plus.
Specific Job responsibilities include:

• Coordinates and follows the conference organization process with research and academic communities
• Coordinates registration and accommodation booking and on-site materials
• Coordinates conference promotional activities
• Participates in planning conference timelines, budget and venue
• Assists with content and audio-visual preparation
• Follows up with conference communities in developing new conferences in evolving research areas and countries around the world.

Požadavky

Personality requirements and skills

  • Excellent English, ability to write business correspondence clearly. Ability to effectively present information in one-to-one and small group situations;
  • This position is suited to a self-motivated, professional person who can confidently work with a variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds. Diplomacy, tact and a sense of humor are important to the success of this person;
  • Good knowledge of standard software packages, including Word for Windows and Excel are a must. Experience with Adobe Creative suite, Wordpress, and Social Media tools are a plus;
  • To perform this job successfully, we are looking for promising individuals with talent and interest in being proactive, work independent, be efficient in multi-tasking duties and good at following timelines. An advantage is an ability to build relationships with the research communities as a basis for successful conference execution through collaboration;
  • Working experience min 1 year is an advantage.
