ROLE INTRODUCTION
Do you enjoy working with scrum teams and thrive to be the best? We are looking for enthusiastic people to join our International Payment Platform team.

We work agile to develop multiple payment products such as Merchant / Terminal onboarding, Internet Payment gateways, Payment terminals software, Digital portals, Business analytics, and Mobile device as a Reporting / Payment solution.

We are currently looking at expanding our technology centre and are seeking people who want to work on core data driven products for deployment on a global scale. We want to talk with people who want to:

WHAT WILL YOU DO
• Create Spark/Scala jobs for data transformation and aggregation
• Develop unit tests for Spark transformations and aggregations
• Develop production grade real time or batch data integrations between systems
• Data processing from ETL using Spark streaming and processing into Kafka
• Design and build data pipelines of medium to high complexity
• Execute practices such as continuous integration and test-driven development to enable the rapid delivery of working code
• Deploy production grade data pipelines, data infrastructure and data artifacts as code
• Develop estimates for data driven solutions
• Establish standards of good practice such as coding standards and data governance
• Peer review code developed by others

Požiadavky

Knowledge & Skills
• Scala (with a focus on the functional programming paradigm)
• Scalatest, JUnit, Mockito
• Apache Spark 2.x
• Spark query tuning and performance optimization
• SQL database integration (( Microsoft, Oracle, Postgres, and/or MySQL ))
• Experience working with (( HDFS, S3, Cassandra, and/or DynamoDB ))
• Deep understanding of distributed systems (e.g. CAP theorem, partitioning, replication, consistency, and consensus)
• Relevant professional qualification such as AWS Certified Big Data, Cloudera Spark and Hadoop Developer: Data Engineer, IBM Certified Data Engineer – Big Data or similar
• 3+ year experience working in an enterprise big data environment
• Hands-on experience in development, deployment and operation of data technologies and platforms such as:

  • Integration using APIs, micro-services and ETL patterns
  • Low latency/Streaming, batch and micro batch processing
  • Data platforms such as Hadoop, Hive, Redshift or Snowflake
  • Cloud Services such as AWS, GCP or Azure
  • Containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
    • Deep knowledge of key non-functional requirements such as availability, scalability, operability and maintainability
    • Willingness to take ownership and ability to show strong personal commitment for the department and the team goals; must be comfortable with being considered a reliable and proactive influential team member who is not afraid to take on responsibility in the team
