• Be part of a broader team of engineer, and have front-to-back engineering and management ownership for tools and infrastructure used across the company
• This may include systems like Linux Server, Kubernetes, PostgreSQL, Firewalls, VPN, Gitea, FluxCD and other systems, depending on your assigned primary focus within the team
• Authorized to install, configure and maintain the trustworthy systems for service management
• Deploy new releases/upgrades, monitor their status and work closely with engineers to diagnose and troubleshoot issues
• Access control, capacity management (scaling) and security management
• Keep systems patched, up-to-date and available according to our operational and security requirements
• Engineer ad-hoc tools and systems to support the automation of all tasks
• Collaborate with developers to ensure application components produced are compatible and optimised in our production environment
• Participate in an on-call responsibility matrix
• Ensure proper workflow tracking and documentation

• Bachelor's or higher degree in technical field of study or equivalent professional experience
• 2+ years experience in varying technical roles
• Background in Linux administration (mainly Debian), other platforms a plus
• Scripting/programming knowledge of at least Unix shell scripting, preferably with Python
• Good understanding of technologies such as Apache, Nginx, Kubernetes, Docker, CICD Tools, Databases (relational and key-value) (e.g PostgreSQL, MongoDB, MySQL), DNS servers, etc.
• Experience implementing, operating, and supporting open source tools for network and security monitoring and management on Linux/Unix platforms
• Good understanding of network and routing protocols (TCP/IP, routing, firewalls, DNS, etc.)
• Very good troubleshooting and creative problem-solving abilities
• Quick to learn and fast to adapt to changing environments
• Understanding of cloud-based and on-premise server infrastructure
• Good at communication and organizational skills in English

Responsibilities include but are not limited to deploying, supporting, monitoring and troubleshooting large scale micro-service based distributed systems with high transaction volume; documenting the IT infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Applicants are also expected to participate in after-hours work.
