We are looking for an independent, skilled and highly motivated Category Manager in one of the fastest-growing fashion e-commerce platform in CSEE - FactCool.
The Category Manager is directly responsible for the management, strategy and P&L of the assigned category/brand, including people management, planning and achieving business results and external presentation of the category. He/she is responsible for the management of the entrusted product category and ensures that they meet the planned sales targets. Has a portfolio of suppliers with whom he/she negotiates and sets commercial terms and builds long term commercial relationships.
Main objectives and responsibilities:
Strategic management:
Responsible for planning and defining the strategy within the assigned category/brand, including responsibility for margin strategy of the assigned category products. Manages the selection of strategic suppliers and products to achieve GM2 and meet P&L in the category.
People management:
Leads, mentors and develops team of salespeople to achieve business results.
Development
of assigned categories in cooperation with other departments of the company, e.g. MKT, Vendor MKT, Content, UX, IT. This is to increase GM2 and Customer Experience.
Business Negotiations:
The Category Manager is directly responsible for identifying strategic partners and suppliers in his/her industry. He/she conducts annual negotiations with suppliers to negotiate terms and conditions for the next period (min. CY).
Stock Product Management:
Category Manager determines the stock product classification and is responsible for the value and stock turnover of stock products, as well as their availability and A-B-C distribution.
Necessary knowledge and skills (must-haves):
People management: experience in managing a team of 5+ people for at least 2 years
Previous sales experience of at least 5 years, ideally in e-commerce, fashion, retail, fmcg
Expertise in the given category; knowledge of CZ+SK markets
English language knowledge - advanced level (min. B2 level)
Working under pressure, prioritizing strategic tasks, but also working with a rich daily ad-hoc agenda.
