You'll collaborate closely with Product, Data, and Infrastructure to ship new capabilities, improve reliability, and shape how our platform scales. We don't expect you to be an expert in every part of the stack at once; some engineers lean more toward frontend, others toward backend, and that's fine. What matters is that you can own a feature end to end and are comfortable working across the whole system, leaning on the team where someone else's strengths complement yours.

We work in an AI-native way, coding with AI tools daily and building AI into our product, so we expect engineers to make these tools part of how they design, write, and review code. This is a role for someone who wants real ownership: making architectural decisions, solving hard problems across the full stack, and building production systems where performance, security, and correctness matter.

Your role 🚀

• Design and build features end to end: database schema, API, and frontend for a platform used daily by enterprise customers
• Own architectural decisions across the stack and help shape how our platform evolves as we grow
• Build backend services and APIs (Node.js) that are reliable, secure, and maintainable at scale
• Develop responsive, well-tested React interfaces that are a pleasure to use
• Design data models that stay robust as data volume and team size grow, working with PostgreSQL/Aurora and ClickHouse
• Handle real production concerns: concurrency, asynchronous workloads, caching, and high availability
• Drive improvements in performance, reliability, and developer experience across the codebase
• Use AI coding tools to move faster without lowering the bar on quality, security, or maintainability
• Write automated tests and help raise the engineering bar for the whole team

• Proven experience building and scaling full-stack applications used by real customers in production
• Strong backend fundamentals: API design, database-backed systems, and scalable architecture
• Solid frontend experience with React and modern TypeScript/JavaScript
• Strong Node.js experience in production, including API design and asynchronous processing
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL a plus) and an appreciation for query performance and data modelling
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS), containerised deployments (Docker/Kubernetes), infrastructure as code (Terraform), and GitOps workflows is a strong plus
• Strong engineering judgment, clear communication, and a collaborative mindset when working across teams
• Hands-on with AI coding tools (e.g. Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) and good judgment about when to trust, verify, or override their output
• Comfortable owning technical decisions and building systems meant to last
